A soft knit fabric covers the hard shell to protect eyeglass lenses and/or electronics and other valuables from scratches. It is washable and replaceable. The Outside of the case is covered in sturdy Cordura 1000 Type back pack cloth as standard. It's resistant to abrasions, tears, and scuffs--all the qualities you expect from a high performance fabric.
